My career in research has always been about more than delivering projects. For me, it’s about uncovering the human stories behind the data and making sure those voices are heard, respected, and used to shape smarter decisions. Over more than two decades, I’ve built my work around one principle: research matters most when it connects insight to impact.At Logit, I play a key role in shaping how we deliver research services across healthcare, consumer, and B2B sectors. I work alongside a talented team to design and execute complex, multi-market studies that stretch across continents and conditions. From rare disease patient research to large-scale consumer studies, I thrive in the complexity and take pride in helping transform data into stories clients can act on with confidence.Trust is at the center of my work. In healthcare especially, where patients and caregivers share their time and honesty, I feel a responsibility to ensure their experiences are handled with care and integrity. ABOUT JAY THORDARSON
I grew up in a rural community called Mozart, Saskatchewan—a place known for carrying the name of one of history’s greatest composers, even if the soundtrack of my childhood was more cattle lowing than concertos. Life there was shaped by hard work, grit, and the kind of lessons you only learn on a farm. My first jobs included cleaning barns, moving hay bales, and yes, picking up plenty of cow manure.Eventually, I left Mozart for Toronto and landed a job as a bicycle courier. Talk about culture shock—one day I was in a field, the next I was navigating busy downtown streets. Yet the shift wasn’t as jarring as it sounds, because I carried those farm-born lessons with me: resilience, perseverance, and a strong work ethic. It turned out that the same skills that made me reliable on the farm also made me successful in the city.More than twenty years later, those values continue to guide me in my role as Vice President of Research Services at The Logit Group. I lead complex multi-market initiatives across healthcare, consumer, and B2B sectors, with a focus on aligning study design with client objectives, ensuring operational excellence, and delivering insights that are both reliable and actionable.What motivates me most is the human side of research. Behind every dataset are real stories, and I take pride in helping clients uncover insights that spark smarter, more empathetic decisions. Collaboration, trust, and clarity are central to my approach, and I believe in building partnerships that last.Today, I am proud to represent The Logit Group, a company with more than twenty-five years of experience as a trusted research partner.
