Currently, Jay works on the Ankura team that serves as the financial advisor to the Puerto Rico Fiscal Agency and Financial Advisory Authority (AAFAF). In that role, Ankura provides strategic and financial advice to the AAFAF, which has responsibility for overseeing all of the territory’s debt obligations and overall fiscal planning. Key components of the engagement include assisting AAFAF with the annual preparation of the Government’s Fiscal Plan which includes a 30-year projection model as well as a document describing key projects and initiatives of the central government. In addition, Ankura provides support for periodic meetings with the top credit rating agencies, assisting with ERMA filings by the government and generally providing strategic and modeling support to major projects proposed to be undertaking by the Government.Other Ankura engagements have included operational improvements and financial restructuring with Blue Bird Corporation, debt restructuring for the Puerto Rico Aqueduct & Sewer Authority (PRASA), public-private partnership structuring and negotiations for PRASA, tracking and reporting on fiscal plan initiatives for the Puerto Rico Electric Power Authority (PREPA) and supporting the Unsecured Creditors Committee in the Trivascular Sales bankruptcy.
