I help my financial institution clients find solutions. My clients include banks, credit unions, finance companies, FinTech companies, and other companies providing loan, deposit, and payment products and services. I have assisted clients develop innovative financial products and services; handle commercial and operations issues; resolve issues raised by state and federal regulatory agencies; defend enforcement actions; and mitigate risk through effective contracting and internal controls. I have significant experience advising companies on banking and consumer finance matters. Having previously served as General Counsel to the Virginia Bankers Association, I understand how federal and state laws enacted during the past twenty years impact the clients I serve. My experience in the legislative and rule making process has helped me understand the nuances in regulations so as to better serve my clients. Outside of work, you can find me spending time visiting art museums, reading novels, or exploring the world with my camera.
