My role as a sales consultant at NEXT continues to fill me with gratification. The healthy workplace environment installs motivation and passion into all staff which ultimately contributes to a great dynamic and an enjoyable work experience. I have spent time in various next stores across the UK, and have covered all department which has assisted me in growing to become a valued member of the team. Besides general retail tasks such as cash handling, customer assistance & order processing, I have understood and familiarised myself with credit and the financial regulations and requirements that accompany it. There are various credit options available at NEXT, which I have mastered, but I am also aware of FCS requirements and the likes of. Being in a customer facing role has taught me to persevere through difficult situations with a smile. It has also provided me with platform to practice being confident in approaching the public to distribute product information and ultimately make sales. I also have a strong grasp of homeware, womenswear, menswear, childrenswear, order picking, order processing, and online transactions. My training in security and loss prevention has enabled me to spot patterns within thefts and take active steps to prevent their reoccurrence - something which is highly important regarding the maintenance of healthy profit margins and strong brand reputation.
