ABOUT JAY PIERSON
My family and our dog Lucy have long called Austin home. I have a daughter who is a freshman in high school, active in tennis, basketball, and softball. My son is beginning his college journey, and we miss having him around the house. My wife, also in tech, is leading her company’s migration of healthcare software to Epic—though we rarely talk shop. Lucy just wants to fetch and swim. Family has helped shape my people-first management style.I started coding in 6th grade, with Assembly as my first language—working through the entire book, learning commands, and making the computer dance. My passion for software development carried into college, where I majored in computer science. I’ve always enjoyed the thrill of engineering, which fosters continuous learning and tackling a never-ending stream of new challenges—whether technical or business-oriented. I’ve contributed across Java.NET, JavaScript, front-end, and back-end, and have successfully launched numerous enterprise systems at scale. Helping others realize their ambitions in this space has become a true passion for me.I remain deeply passionate about software engineering.
