Managed fiber Optic Cables infrastructure installation project in underground vaults. Install and connect multiple Fiber connection in the FOSC making sure efficient network flow. Traffic control by following proper procedures and compliance with traffic rules and regulations. Site inspection and making sure WHMIS and WSIB standards met before starting the work. Fiber FOSC Dressing, Preparation, Splicing, and Testing is everyday work. Prepping, Designing, and Installing fiber trays and carefully relabeling fiber cables with accurate identification, and making sure everything will be documented. Stripping, Dressing, and Splicing of fiber cables are the next phase duties which make sure smooth integration with backbone cable fibers. Use of fusion ribbon splicers in the splicing process ensures quality of fiber splicing, including cleaving, cleaning, visual inspection, and checking insertion and return loss testing. Testing of splice connections using OTDR to make sure all connections follow minimum loss standards. Identify and repair faulty fibers and connections through testing. Efficient Coordination and Communication with the Manager is essential for project success, Project details, updates; and submitting all the reports about project work and testing. Making sure of ordering and maintaining enough inventory and minimum dead stock is also part of the job.
