ABOUT JAY HAHN

Jay is the Managing Partner and a founding member of Hahn | DeBoef, a government relations firm that serves a wide variety of clients across different sectors and industries. With nearly two decades of experience in the industry, Jay oversees the firm\'s government relations, advocacy, new strategies, and messaging efforts, ensuring that the clients\' interests and goals are effectively communicated and represented to the Missouri General Assembly, Executive branch and agencies and other stakeholders.Jay\'s core competencies include legislative analysis, result driven strategy, policy development, coalition building, public affairs, and media relations. He also has a strong background in information technology and aviation, which gives him an edge in understanding and addressing technology-related legislative issues. Jay is a former Director of Government Relations for the Missouri Optometric Association, where he developed and implemented the association\'s legislative priorities and agenda. Jay is also a former President of the Missouri Society of Association Executives, a non-profit organization that promotes and supports excellence and professionalism among association executives. Jay is passionate about using his skills and expertise to advocate for the causes and values that matter to him and his clients.Another passion for Jay is aviation. He currently holds a Private Pilot and an instrument rating certification. He enjoys flying for fun and as an advocacy and campaign outreach tool.
