About Jay Gulshen

I am a Health Advisor for the Committee on Ways and Means, working on Medicare Part A and Part B.Prior to joining the Committee on Ways and Means, I served as the Health Policy Advisor for Congressman Buddy Carter where I helped direct and execute the congressman\'s health care priorities, and as a Legislative Associate for the Energy and Commerce\'s Health Subcommittee. In that role, I worked on Traditional Medicare (Parts B and D), MACRA, and Health Information Technology. Prior to joining the E&C Health team, I served as a Clerk and Staff Assistant for Energy and Commerce.Before starting with Energy and Commerce, I studied Environmental Science at Drury University, where I served as Student Body President. I am a native Missourian and an Eagle Scout.
