About Jay Duncan
I am a Junior at Purdue University majoring in Mechanical Engineering Technology with a concentration in Powertrains and a certificate in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. My passion for automotive engineering comes from years of hands-on shop experience.I have extensive experience in automotive mechanics, work with manual mills, manual lathes, and CNC manufacturing. My technical skills include NX, AutoCAD, and Inventor, allowing me to design and optimize mechanical components. During my internship in precision machining, I gained expertise in CMM measurements, further refining my understanding of quality control and manufacturing processes.Beyond the shop, I apply my skills as Engine Team Lead for the Wawasee Supermileage Team, where we won a national competition for an Urban Concept Internal Combustion Car. I thrive in team-driven engineering environments and enjoy combining hands-on experience with innovative problem-solving.
