   Rio Verde Fire District

   Oversees all Rio Verde Fire District functions, operations, and personnel; providing the necessary leadership, direction and guidance to prevent and/or minimize the loss of life and property.Responsibilities include: Providing timely onsite management support as required for higher level emergency situations; Representing the district in the community; reviewing the operation of the District to determine overall efficiency; providing direction on major projects or problem areas; strategic planning including developing short and long term recommendations for the protection of life and property; developing and implementing budgets, policies and procedures; and providing policy guidance. The Fire Chief is responsible for modeling the District values of professionalism and teamwork. The Board of Directors appoints the Fire Chief and provides general supervision and reviews work on the basis of overall results achieved. The Fire Chief works independently in supervising the overall technical operations, emergency management and performing other related duties as required.
