ABOUT JAY BROWN
J. Robert Brown, Jr, served as a member of the board of the PCAOB from Feb. 2018 until January 2021. Prior to holding that position, Jay was the Lawrence W. Treece Professor of Corporate Governance and the Director of the Corporate & Commercial Law Program at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law. He has written extensively on corporate and securities law subjects, including a textbook on Corporate Governance (now in a second edition) and several articles that have been cited by the US Supreme Court. Jay has advised foreign governments on corporate and securities law reform, served as an arbitrator for FINRA, served on the Investor Advisory Committee for the Securities and Exchange Commission, where he was elected as secretary and on the Standing Advisory Committee at the PCAOB. Among his outside activities, Jay is on the board of directors of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless.
