About Jay Branegan
I am an veteran writer, editor and communicator with experience in foreign affairs, international development, public policy, science and environmental issues. As a reporter for the Chicago Tribune I shared a Pulitzer Prize, and as a correspondent for TIME Magazine I was based in Hong Kong and Brussels and covered the White House. I have taught journalism at three universities and a Washington, D.C. high school and for 10 years was a senior staff member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee. I am now a part-time staffer at The Lugar Center, building on my policy work in the Senate, and devote time to other causes in journalism and science communication.
