ABOUT JAVIER PAREDES LÓPEZ
My main roles for the last 10 years of career have been software testing and quality assessment of search engines.As Software Tester / Quality Assurance, I am specialised in web and mobile applications. Some of my responsibilities include, but are not limited to, performing manual functional tests, writing automation tests using Appium with Python, Nightwatch, as well as regression and system testing, working closely with the different teams to fix, document and track issues, and writing and executing test cases and plans, as well as test reports. As Search Quality Consultant, I have been carrying out analysis on the quality of the results provided by search engines. This includes creating external teams of data taggers, analysing their outputs and closely working with the engineering teams to improve the quality of the results.Both roles have been complemented with my work as linguist, either managing the localisation process of different apps, or localising the apps myself.
