ABOUT JAVIER LOPEZ
I am a determined MPH graduate driven by a strong desire to bring about positive change in marginalized groups, which is rooted on my significant interest in epidemiology, infectious disease, data analysis, and clinical research.My journey in public health began as an AmeriCorps Public Health Intern with Northern Arizona University\'s Center for Community Health & Engaged Research, where I contributed to a prospective 5-year cohort study focusing on improving physical health outcomes among incarcerated individuals. Building on this experience, I advanced to a Research Assistant role with Mayo Clinic\'s orthopedics department, focusing on improving sarcoma patient health outcomes.I’m driven by the mission to advance equitable, evidence-based public health practice. I’m excited to continue growing as a researcher dedicated to improving outcomes for communities that need it most.
