About Javier Barajas
Born and raised in California, Javier Alejandro Barajas has been passionate about storytelling since he was a kid. The son of Mexican immigrants, Javi\'s early love of cartoons and comic books led to his current path as an emerging independent producer and Development Coordinator at Skybound Entertainment, the home of THE WALKING DEAD, INVINCIBLE, and ENERGON UNIVERSE. In 2023, Javi graduated from UC Santa Barbara where he produced several projects including his award-winning thesis film FATHERHOOD, earning him a nomination for the 2021-22 Chancellor\'s Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Research. Additionally, Javier was mentored for two years by \"The Nanny\" alum Rob Sternin as part of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival\'s college screenwriting program. Outside of his creative work, Javier is also a two-time recipient of the prestigious HSF Scholarship and a four-time recipient Taco Bell Live Más scholarship. Upon graduation, Javi worked for the Sacramento Kings before landing in the mailroom of IAG, working his way up the TV Scripted Literary Department before transitioning into TV Development at Skybound.
