About Javier Martin

Product leader at Meta, building and scaling products used by billions of people worldwide. Previously at Amazon Web Services (2018–2022), where I built monitoring and observability products for CloudWatch, serving some of the largest cloud customers globally. I began my career in 2007 as a software engineer at the University of Aviation in Spain, where I was eventually promoted to Head of IT. I later moved to Finland to work as a Technical Product Manager at Nokia (later Microsoft), leading the development of cloud-based infrastructure products. In 2016, I joined Zalando, Europe’s largest online fashion platform. As the founding Product Manager for Connected Retail, I built and scaled the product into a multi-billion-dollar business. Throughout my career, I have been a trusted advisor and angel investor in dozens of early-stage startups. At Zalando, I was elected Vice Chairman of the Employee Board, representing employees. I also served as Board Member and Director of Finance at the non-profit PMI.I hold two Master of Science degrees: one in IT Management and one in Software Engineering.
