ABOUT JEANNINE AVELINO
I\'m a creative, hard-working person with a passion for video, photography and social media. I’ve been storytelling for over 2 decades, having worked as an ENG Editor at CTV Vancouver and editing for a long-running factual television series. I excelled in the fast-paced world of breaking news but also enjoyed taking the time to craft a visually-compelling story.On my spare time, I manage a few Instagram accounts including my own (@jeannineavelino and @javelinomedia), and a 5k/1-mile race for Movember called the @moustachemiler. I am an avid trail runner and ambassador for the sport, as the trail leader for our run club and work behind the scenes for several races.While I was at CTV, I developed a very successful Instagram story strategy for @ctvvancouver in addition to my workload. I oversaw it from the start including coordinating the look, producing, editing and posting them. I have also worked with brands like On and Saucony to create content for them.Add long-form blog writer to my list of skills. I created the once very popular blog for Vancouver budget brides, Vancity Bride. For seven years, I was the sole researcher, copywriter, photographer, and social media manager for the award-winning blog that attracted over half a million people. I wrote advice articles, conducted interviews, profiled real Vancity Brides, held contests and photographed and covered events. I have also written freelance articles for Daily Hive Vancouver, as a fitness and running expert.I moonlight as a race photographer. It allows me to blend my love for the outdoors with my creativity.In my spare time, I love to run (road and trail), eat lots of amazing food, travel to new and exciting countries with my husband, and spend time with our little fur family.
