About Jatin Patni

Artificial intelligence is increasingly embedded in critical decision systems across finance, healthcare, public services, and digital platforms. As these systems scale, the question is no longer whether AI will influence institutions, but how it will be governed responsibly. My work focuses on AI governance, model risk management, and responsible AI frameworks — helping organizations design oversight systems that make advanced analytics and machine learning safe, auditable, and accountable.I have experience working across regulated environments where AI systems must meet strict standards for transparency, validation, and risk management. This includes work related to model validation, AI risk frameworks, governance controls, and regulatory alignment. My professional interests span:• AI governance and model risk management• Responsible AI and fairness assessments• AI regulatory frameworks and compliance• AI audit, validation, and assurance mechanisms• Responsible deployment of AI in regulated sectorsAlongside my industry work, I am interested in a broader policy question: how global AI governance frameworks translate across different economic and institutional contexts. Many emerging economies are rapidly adopting AI systems while operating with different regulatory capacities, data ecosystems, and digital infrastructures. Understanding these realities is important for designing governance approaches that are both practical and globally relevant.Through my independent research platform GlobalSouth.ai, I document real-world case studies, regulatory developments, and governance challenges related to AI adoption across emerging markets. The objective is to contribute to informed discussions on AI risk, fairness, and policy design from a Global South perspective.I am particularly interested in engaging with professionals working on AI governance, model risk, regulatory policy, and responsible technology deployment across industry, academia, and public institutions.
