MOL LNG Transport (Asia) Ltd is a leading company in the LNG shipping industry, operating a fleet of state-of-the-art LNG carriers. As a second assistant engineer, I am responsible for the operation and maintenance of the power plant onboard one of these vessels, ensuring its optimal performance and safety. I have direct oversight of the 100bar Reheat boiler and Wartsila dual fuel generators, which are critical components of the propulsion system.I have a strong background in marine engineering, having graduated from Tolani Maritime Institute, a prestigious off-campus center of BITS Pilani, with a Bachelor of Engineering in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. I have also worked on various types of vessels, including container ships, VLCC, LPG carrier, and LNG carrier, gaining valuable experience and skills in different power plant setups. I hold a combined Class 4 MEO ticket for both Motor and Steam plants, and I am currently appearing for Class 2 Combined license exams. I have also received the highest marks all over India for Class 4 MEO competency exams, demonstrating my knowledge and expertise in the field. I am passionate about learning new technologies and innovations in the marine industry, especially in the areas of gas turbines and nuclear power plants. I have worked on STaGE hybrid plants, a state-of-the-art power plant employing Steam turbine and Diesel electric propulsion in a combined cycle setup, which is one of the most efficient and environmentally friendly systems in the market. I am always eager to take on new challenges and opportunities to enhance my skills and contribute to the success of the organization. I have also nurtured good leadership and management skills, working in various multinational setups and collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
