BlackRock being the world\'s biggest Asset manager, manages its own Index data platform. My role is to- Provide local leadership to BlackRock’s Index data platform/Index data factory group- Lead engineering side of Index data platform including Data Management and Data Pipelines- Data Pipelining for Index starts from sourcing Index data from multiple Index providers like MSCI, S&P, ML. etc- Transforming the raw Index data as per BlackRock\'s internal data model, calculating the positions and other data points - Finally fanning out the prepared index data to multiple downstreams application as well as Aladdin clients - All the pipelines we develop are using Python with industry best practices that enables us to scale and optimize our data flows - Also working on modernizing the complete Index platform which involves adapting modernize tech stack of Snowflake, DBT, Airflow enabling better management of data - Complete ownership of deliveries involving sprint planning, Estimation and finally delivering releases in Production - Hiring, Career management, Mentoring of the engineering team spread across the geographies.
