About Jatin Puri
I’m a Principal Engineer at Microsoft, part of the AI Platforms and Systems team. My work focuses on building platforms that elevate the visibility of Azure services within the customer’s context from the context of observability.I’m the author of Scala Microservices, and regularly conduct trainings and workshops for Lightbend on Scala and Akka for corporates in large. I’ve also contributed to the community through points on Stack Overflow, organizing the Hyderabad Scala Meetup, and making minor open-source contributions to projects like Apache Spark and Scala Meta. I have a strong passion for programming languages, particularly pure functional programing, and everything to do with the JVM. I hold two patents in the field of Machine Learning and have a interest in distributed systems.Outside of tech, I’ve been a faculty member with The Art of Living Foundation for nearly a decade, teaching Sudarshan Kriya and meditation across corporates, universities, and public forums. These practices have had a profound impact on my personal growth and well-being, and I am doing my bit, in spreading its goodness and bringing joy around.
