About Jatin Deshpande
Hi, I’m an Associate at BCG with a BS in Economics from IIT Bombay (CGPA 9.06/10) and have passed the CFA Level I exam. I enjoy solving ambiguous problems at the intersection of strategy, markets, and analytics.Previously, as a Quantitative Research Intern at True Beacon, I built and optimised options strategies in India’s derivatives market, working on IV surface modelling, skew, and term structure. Most recently, I interned as an Investment Analyst at Pkeday Investments (Mumbai), focusing on buy-side due diligence and financial modelling across mid- and small-cap opportunities, which deepened my toolkit and reinforced my passion for public market investing and analysis.Beyond academics, I play competitive chess and was fortunate to face India’s Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand in a simul match at Chennai. I also led IIT Bombay’s sports operations, delivering 100+ inter-collegiate events, and spearheaded a Pan-India Chess League. My chess journey includes an Inter IIT Team Gold & 4th place finish, as well as being the Institute Chess Open Champion ’24.
