About Jasper Sodha

I am a rising senior at Yale University studying economics and global affairs. Between my junior and senior years I am interning as a summer consultant with Alvarez & Marsal\'s Consumer and Retail Group in New York. At Yale, I have been involved with the Yale Undergraduate Consulting Group (as a project manager and VP of Consulting), which works with paying Fortune 500 clients, in addition to club cricket and field hockey teams. Prior to my gap year, where I worked for a same-day delivery startup (Gophr) and a geo-location consulting company (Geolytix), I was a student at Eton College. At Eton I was Chairman of The Eton Society (colloquially known as Pop - the co-curricular prefectorial body), an Academic Prefect, and an Academic Scholar amongst other positions of responsibility. I relish working in, as well as leading, teams that make a tangible difference. I am often the first port of call for those who are looking for solutions whatever they may be. This, I believe, stems from my willingness to always give out advice, be that to 500 younger students on how to make the most of the vast array of opportunities; to my peers for how to invite prominent speakers to their own society events; or to external body such as through the team that I led in a student consultancy programme. My combination of subjects allows me to analyse both quantitatively and qualitatively, present a coherent and logical argument based on facts and data, and to efficiently delve into the heart of a problem. I believe that this better enables me to solve the problems that people come to me about. I am attending Yale so that I can better explore the interdisciplinary approaches that problems often require, whilst continuing my leadership journey.
