The Speed of Trust says this the best:\"Trust is a function of two things: character and competence. Character includes your integrity, your motive, your intent with people. Competence includes your capabilities, your skills, your results, your track record.\"Finally, it\'s important to me to remember that we\'re People first, Professionals second. Hopefully, you love what you do, but even if you\'re in your dream job, you still work to pursue hobbies, build personal relationships, pursue dreams, etc. As a manager, I recognize that people need their personal needs taken care of first before they can take care of their professional responsibilities.
