About Jason Tiller

I am a software engineer committed to quality and improving customer experience. I have worked in multiple organizations at all levels of abstraction, from assembly-level board bringup to C++/Linux multitasking development. Everywhere I\'ve been, I have received commendations for my unfailing focus on the customer and meeting their needs. I am equally comfortable using straight procedural constructs in \'C\' to building software from semantically complete OOA models that are automatically translated into code. I have helped to write state-machine-based, event-driven real-time architectures that relied on distributed object communication. I am fully versant with multiprocessing and multithreading, including various IPC mechanisms and tasking models. I enjoy working on development tasks throughout the complete process. I have written functional requirements specifications, solicited user feedback, designed entire applications from the ground up, and written verification tests for complex, real-time, embedded firmware medical devices. Many organizations live by their tools, and I\'ve written critical toolsets for multiple organizations targeted at automating tasks such as code verification and requirement test coverage. I believe that because the software field is changing so rapidly, continuing education is an absolute must. To that end, I am constantly applying new technologies, reading and taking college courses to ensure that my skills and techniques are world class. I am currently pursuing a MSCS in Computing Systems from Georgia Tech. I\'m also interested in distributed systems and the networking field. I hope that these attributes are also important to your organization and that I can help you achieve your software goals. Specialties: C/C++, Python, Qt/PyQt, Linux, Systems Programming, Executable UML, OOA/OOD, Multithreading, Sockets, TCP/IP, Multitasking and IPC Mechanisms, Embedded Systems, Hardware Interface, Medical Device Development
