Jason Syvixay is a nationally recognized urban planning executive, strategist, writer, and communicator whose career spans municipal government, non-profit leadership, academia, and the real estate development industry. A registered professional planner (RPP, MCIP) and award-winning communications professional, Jason has spent more than 15 years bringing complex urban ideas to life, shaping public policy, and galvanizing public–private partnerships to advance city-building outcomes.As a senior executive and Vice President of Strategy & Operations, he leads high-performing teams, drives organizational transformation, and stewards multimillion-dollar budgets. He is known for his ability to synthesize technical planning knowledge with compelling storytelling — elevating brands, influencing policy, and shaping public dialogue on urban development, housing, equity, and metropolitan governance.His work has appeared across major media platforms — Winnipeg Free Press, Plan Canada, Canadian Architect, Edmonton Journal — where he brings clarity and humanity to pressing civic issues.
