Through our ecosystem of partnerships, we provide a circle of support for both Indigenous Learners and Leaders through our Odeiwin Connect, Learn, Lead and Create Programs. Jay Shea, also known by his Spirit Name Makada Bizhiki Ninni (Black Buffalo Man) — is Wolf Clan, Ininew (Cree), and a member of Albany First Nation, residing in York Region.The Founder of The Odeiwin Foundation, an Indigenous-led not profit organization dedicated to improving community wellbeing through Indigenous ways of knowing and improving education, employment and system change. Since its inception, Odeiwin has positively impacted over community members in York Region and beyond.He has fostered strong and trusted partnerships with organizations including York Region, the City of Richmond Hill, Richmond Hill Public Library, York Region District School Boards, YCAS, TRCA, the Town of Stouffville, and the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). These relationships have enabled the co-creation of culturally grounded programs that serve both Indigenous and non-Indigenous communities.Jay is known for his ability to connect people, align systems, and navigate complexity with care and accountability.
