About Jason Schultz

With over 24 years of work experience, I am a passionate and committed civic leader and educator who strives to make a positive impact in the community through federal service programs. As the Director of Federal Service Programs at New York University, I oversee a $2.2 million budget and a staff of students who tutor and mentor children in low-income neighborhoods. I have a Master of Public Administration degree from NYU Wagner School of Public Service, and a dual bachelor\'s degree in American Studies and French Studies from Fordham University.In my current role, I direct and administer various federal service programs, including America Reads/Counts, The NYC Public Service Corps, Public Service Corps and Jumpstart, for both undergraduate and graduate students. I develop and facilitate new volunteer trainings, manage website content and attendance, and enforce university policies and disciplinary measures. I also leverage my skills in social media marketing and event planning to promote and showcase the achievements and stories of our volunteers and program participants. I am proud to be part of a team that empowers students to serve as positive role models and agents of change in their communities.
