ABOUT JASON BELL
I solve problems. Understanding how things work, why people do what they do, breaking processes down and distilling intent and insight. In 2012, I earned my MA degree in World Politics & Popular Culture, sparking debate with my dissertation examining the link between the two through the use of the zombie. During my studies, I refined my research & analytical skills, developing a strong writing style. This proved integral in my role as Research Executive with Dipsticks Research in 2013, conducting research for a diverse range of public & private sector clients. In 2014, I joined Turnitin as a Product Analyst; I researched trends in the worldwide education market & analysed products & feedback from different angles to identify benefits for students, teachers & stakeholders. I was promoted to the role of Product Owner, Analytics early in 2015 upon completion of my CSPO qualification, & facilitate the analysis-based training & development of a junior CSPO. Shortly following this I became inspired to write and publish an ebook on utilising the Agile methodology on personal development: Agile Timelord. In 2017 I left Turnitin to I work as a Senior User Researcher at DWP with my first project being a cross department review of data interaction. Outside the office, I aim to work towards my proposed PhD; examining the relationship between politics & culture, specifically the notion of heroism post 2001. I’m also collaborating on the development of an aspirational non-profit to support Arts and young people\'s careers in the North East, & I am an active member of Agile North East & North East Toastmasters.
