ABOUT JASON OPENO
I currently serve as the Dean of the School of Health and Community Services at Medicine Hat College. I co-authored Assessment Strategies for Online Learning: Engagement and Authenticity (2018), published by Athabasca University Press. I also co-edited Academic Integrity and the Role of the Academic Library (Spring, 2024). My other work has been published in the International Review of Research in Open & Distributed Learning, the Journal of Education for Library and Information Science, The Canadian Journal for Learning and Technology, and Canadian Perspectives on Academic Integrity. I acquired my Doctor of Education in Distance Education through Athabasca University, my Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Washington\'s iSchool, and my Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Albion College\'s Gerald R. Ford Institute for Leadership in Public Policy and Service. This means I have spent a lot of time (and a lot of money) as a student, and I will always identify as someone who is still learning.
