   I lead the North American operations for Scanreco, a leading supplier of radio remote control systems to machinery manufacturers that serve industries spanning agriculture, construction, forestry, mining, and others around the world. Together with our teams of electrical and hydraulic engineers, I collaborate with systems integrators and manufacturers to develop ways to make operations safer, more accurate, and more efficient by using radio remote systems — allowing human operators — to remotely control cranes, concrete pumps, hydro-vacs, and other industrial equipment. Our open architecture gives system integrators and OEMs alike the flexibility to customize our systems, so changes are agile, specific, and calibrated to each customer\'s exact needs and specifications. Using remote controls to manipulate heavy machinery removes operators from the cab and puts them in a safer position. We also leverage robotics, AI technology, and lean manufacturing principles to include additional features and assisted controls to give the operator more information, such as throughput, load, or weight. When we can provide operators with a safer position and as much data as possible, then we increase safety, improve accuracy, and as a result, boost project efficiency as well.
