As managing editor, I am responsible for the day-to-day operation of a digital- and print-focused newsroom. Memphis Business Journal (MBJ) publishes two daily digital editions and a weekly print publication. Prior to my current role, I was American City Business Journal\'s first data editor, with a goal of consistently combining data with narrative context. My previous responsibilities also included covering health care, biosciences, and innovation for three years and leading all of MBJ\'s research efforts for two decades.
