About Jason K. Wallace
A thoughtful and skillful higher education practitioner with expertise in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) training, assessment, and education. 10+ years of experience in DEI work. Data-driven professional with specialization in curriculum development, social justice education, employee onboarding, talent recruitment and development, strategic marketing, project management, community outreach, and organization development. Published researcher with strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to connect and collaborate with diverse research centers on issues of equity and inclusion in higher education. Specifically, my scholarship addresses three major research strands: 1) equity and justice for Black students and professionals in higher education, 2) first-generation student experiences through a critical race and asset-based lens and, 3) the use of culturally-relevant qualitative research methodologies in higher education inquiry. Having presented over thirty peer-reviewed conference presentations at international, national, and regional conferences, I seek to educate higher education scholars and practitioners about the inimitable experiences of minoritized students at historically white institutions.
