I specialize in manager selection and strategy research, with a focus on the qualitative factors that underpin durable long-term performance.Since 2015 I have been the Deputy Chief Investment Officer at Utah Retirement Systems, a U.S. public pension recognized for best-in-class governance, financial strength (funded status), and long-term success in alternative assets dating to the early 1980s. Along with the CIO, I help lead the investment team of ~50 professionals overseeing $50B in defined benefit and $12B in defined contribution assets.Board Member of the CAIA Association.
