SKILLS
ABOUT JASON JAY
I direct the MIT Sloan Sustainability Initiative and teach strategy, innovation, and leadership for sustainable business at the masters and executive levels at MIT Sloan. Currently, I am launching “Owning Impact” - a suite of programming to support social impact strategy among families who own significant financial assets and/or operating companies. I am actively engaged with the investment community under two of our Initiative’s current research projects. Using our En-ROADS simulation tool, I lead efforts on investor action on climate, helping them identify high leverage strategies and channels of influence. With our Aggregate Confusion Project, I engage with investors to improve ESG measurement and decision making in the financial sector. As Senior Lecturer, I teach and mentor projects in our S-Lab course, which connects world class students with sustainability projects in leading organizations. And in my Innovating for Impact course, I provide students the tools they need to develop products and services that actively improve the world as they grow.Specialties: sustainable finance; family social impact strategy; climate and sustainability strategy for investors and companies; productive conversations; facilitation of peer learning and systemic change; systems thinking; action research.
