ABOUT JASON PERRY
I am an experienced HR professional specialising in Recruitment, Training, Assessment and Online Media. Having started my career in HR and Training in the early ’90s, I am now a full member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development. Having had years of experience working with recruitment agencies and being left unsatisfied with the performance, service and results, in the early 1990s I left my role in Training & Development to establish the ASL Group. My clear goal was to providing advice and consultancy in psychometrics, online assessment and recruitment with a strong focus on doing things differently to other recruitment agencies. I wanted to deliver services our clients actually wanted in a thoroughly professional and helpful manner. In addition to ASL Group, in 2009, I worked in partnership to launch the Hunt4Staff brand providing online recruitment advertising and flat-fee recruitment services. In July 2009, I was invited to take up the role of Regional Director for TEAM – The Employment Agents Movement and sit on its national executive group a demanding role I thoroughly enjoyed for 5 years. In 2009, I was invited to assist in a major government project with the Department of Work and Pensions to deliver Job Seeker support to Newly Unemployed Professionals. Over the next 18 months, ASL went on to become the single largest provider in the UK on this contract assisting over 22,500 job seekers.Having worked on major Government contracts in the training and education sector, I joined with colleagues to establish a new venture - Improve Your Skills Ltd, to deliver funded qualifications to those in the workplace seeking to further their career and qualifications with assistance from the Skills Funding Agency. As a result of all this activity, I often am asked to provide comment and opinion to the BBC News on employment-related issues and I frequently undertake guest speaker events on recruitment & HR-related topics.
