ABOUT JASON MIKELL

Jason Mikell has dual Bachelors of Science degrees in Psychology and Operational Meteorology from the University of Southern Mississippi and Mississippi State University. A world traveler, lover of music, wine, all things culinary and an avid automobiles lover, Jason has previous mentorship experience at Fox 29 Philadelphia, NBC Chicago, WDAM-TV, WKRG-TV5 the Weather Company, and National Weather Service Mt. Holly/Philadelphia. His Emmy-nominated career path has led him from positions of Weekend Meteorologist, Traffic Reporter, Morning Meteorologist, Morning Anchor, and Chief Meteorologist in local markets: Lima, Ohio; Austin, Texas; and Cleveland, Ohio. In compliment of Jason\'s pursuit in Operational Meteorology, Jason has obtained additional skills in communications, marketing, and advertising from his previous years working in Business. Jason\'s previous work experience has secured exceptional skills in Communications, Interviewing, Business Development, Client Services, Recruitment, Account Management, and Social Media. Jason is also a current member of both organizations American Meteorology Society and National Weather Association. Jason is focused on the road to pursuing his passion and excited about the connections and friendships that will be made as well as helping to keep those around us, safe, secure, alerted, and knowledge about the power of Mother Nature.
