ABOUT JASON PARSONS

I am a Partner at KPMG, serving clients primarily in the Financial Services – Insurance space. I have experience providing assurance and advisory services to property and casualty, life and annuity, and health insurers, and insurance adjacent entities. My clients have ranged from mid-market, domestic companies to multi-national public companies, with financial reporting under U.S Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP), NAIC Statements of Statutory Accounting Principles (SSAP), and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).I previously completed a three-year rotational assignment with KPMG’s Department of Professional Practice in New York where my responsibilities included: assisting engagement teams by providing technical accounting and auditing support, monitoring the activities of regulators (SEC, PCAOB) and standard setters (FASB, NAIC, IASB), and developing firm guidance and training.I am also the KPMG University Talent Acquisition Partner for the University of Wisconsin Madison. In this role, my goal is to attract and retain the best students with the skills and passion that our profession demands. This includes creating and executing an effective campus strategy as well as building and nurturing student, faculty and staff relationships.
