About Jason Carpentier

I have a never ending passion for learning and it has led me down many paths in my career. I have experience in sales, real estate sales, entrepreneurship, software development and management. I love helping my teams succeed and do everything I can to give then opportunity to grow. I have been writing software as a hobby going on 17 years in one form or another. Recently, I was looking to change things up and left my home of San Antonio, Texas to give New Orleans, Louisiana a chance without having ever stepped foot in the city. It has been an amazing and filled with great learning experiences. The years of experience in business ownership and sales puts me in a unique position as an employee. It is important for me to have the ability to understand and have a hand in the success of the companies I get involved with. Entrepreneurship has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember and while I continue to work on projects on the side I\'m employed by someone else for the first time in a long time. I\'ve made sure to get involved in the New Orleans startup scene by running the New Orleans Startup Digest which is a digital newsletter making interested parties aware of entrepreneurship and technology events in the city. This passion for the startup industry has also led me to the opportunity to be a Co-Organizer of Startup Weekend New Orleans.
