Overseeing all health and safety operations on a $20 million Major Maintenance & Repair (M&R) project for Building N-1, following the successful completion of an $8 million demolition of the Women\'s Bay Wharf.Key Health & Safety Responsibilities:Lead site-wide safety management for multi-million dollar USCG construction projects, ensuring strict compliance with OSHA 1926 and USACE EM 385-1-1 standards.Conduct daily safety briefings, hazard analyses, and jobsite inspections to proactively identify and mitigate risks.Oversee safe operations of heavy equipment including crane barges, landing crafts with derrick cranes, and excavators, ensuring crew adherence to safety protocols.Develop and implement site-specific Accident Prevention Plans (APPs) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and USCG representatives to maintain a zero-incident safety culture.Manage incident reporting, root cause analysis, and corrective action plans to drive continuous improvement.Facilitate safety training and onboarding for all personnel entering the jobsite, including specialized instruction for high-risk activities.Monitor environmental compliance and stormwater controls in alignment with AK-CESCL certification requirements.
