About Jason Astrup
I\'ve spent more than 15 years figuring out what makes a product worth making. The answer always comes back to the same place: whether it genuinely connects with the person buying it. That through line has shaped everything I do. Across multiple brands and broad category portfolios in home, kitchen, and lifestyle, I\'ve learned that getting from a consumer insight to something on a shelf at scale takes equal parts creative judgment and operational discipline. I\'ve built that muscle on both sides — working closely enough with designers to know when something is off, and deep enough in global development and sourcing to know what it takes to actually get a product made. What I bring to a leadership role is the ability to hold the full picture without losing the details that matter. I\'ve led cross-functional teams across design, engineering, merchandising, and supply chain, and I\'ve found that the best outcomes happen when those functions actually understand each other. Creating that environment and keeping everyone oriented around the consumer is where I invest my energy. I\'m at my best when the work is complex, the categories are competitive, and the standard for what \"good\" looks like is high. A product can be well-made and built to last, but if it doesn\'t connect with the person it was made for, it missed the point entirely. That\'s the standard I hold myself to: product strategy, category management, global sourcing, cross-functional leadership, product lifecycle management, consumer goods, hard goods development.
