About Jason Woods
I am a results-driven academic leader with over 20 years of experience building programs, building faculty, and translating research to clinical application. My leadership has been academically diverse (Arts & Sciences, Medicine, Pediatrics), successful, and entrepreneurial, with a scientific background in high-impact imaging and pulmonary-physiology. As an individual investigator the primary goal of my research is to advance pulmonary structure-function imaging and physiology toward rapid translation, quantification, and clinical practice. Over the last decade, we have built two multidisciplinary centers that have seen high success of young faculty, with a high ROI. An an academic leader, I want to increase faculty passion for research by making it more accessible, streamlined, and fun, even in the face of significant current challenges.
