I lead a team of lawyers and legal staff who are valued strategic business partners and handle matters in a number of subject areas, including- Corporate Governance, SEC reporting, Investor Relations, and Corporate Strategy- Supply Chain: Enterprise, Fuel, and Tech Ops Supply Chain- Fleet transactions and aircraft/engine tech ops supply chain- Treasury and Finance matters such as credit facilities- Airport Affairs and Facilities (real estate, construction, and government interactions)- Innovation/Business Transformation- Sustainability, including goal setting, reporting, compliance, offsets, investments, marketing collateral, strategic partnerships, and other matters as they arise- Sustainable aviation fuels, including offtake and investment matters with Southwest Airlines Renewable Ventures and novel feedstock technology, as well as acquisition and divestitures- ESG reporting, including climate related standards- Patent issues; and- certain compliance and global legal matters. On a daily basis, my team negotiates, drafts, reviews, and advises on a wide range of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, purchase agreements, fuel supply agreements, professional services agreements (e.g. master service agreements and statements of work), banking agreements, credit agreements, loan agreements, licensing agreements, maintenance agreements, evaluation agreements (e.g, for hardware, software, cloud services, and mobile applications), outsourcing agreements, non-disclosure agreements, telecommunications agreements, and agreements related to environmental sustainability initiatives.
