ABOUT JASON SAGER

My mission is to accelerate cancer cures by revolutionizing society’s approach to cancer. My talent is to raise, maintain, and focus energy to the benefit of all.After a career as a physician-scientist with 12 years of clinical experience as a pediatric oncologist (Johns Hopkins, NCI, and Dana Farber) and 11 years of translational clinical drug development experience(Genentech, Novartis, Sanofi), I established Sagely Health, a health IT company, in 2014 to tackle the biggest problem facing cancer patients today: a lack of awareness and access to innovative therapies that can produce their best possible outcome. On the way to constructing a technology platform that aims to one day guide millions of patients, we have helped hundreds of adults and children navigate the complex and chaotic world of cancer. Our specialty is identifying scientifically justified innovative therapies (e.g. clinical trials) and personalized care (e.g. diagnostics) that otherwise remain unknown. My clinical experience, scientific training with my mentor Bert Vogelstein, as well as my pharma experience including leading the US Early Clinical Oncology Development group at Sanofi, provided the insights I needed to build the system that helps patients on a step by step basis.As part of my mission to benefit all, I continue to create new medicines, by collaborating with those who wish to accelerate development of therapies for patients in need. These include biotech companies like Accent Therapeutics (currently); previously Angiex, Ikena Oncology, Bionaut, and Privo; advocacy groups (e.g. SU2C); and aspiring professors as an MIT Deshpande Catalyst.
