ABOUT JASON RYAN
I am a Professor of Marketing and International Business at California State University, San Bernardino. I teach a number of introductory and advanced marketing management courses. Prior to my current position, I taught at the University of Redlands for four years, where I was granted tenure and promoted to Associate Professor. Prior to that, I was an Assistant Professor of International Business at Saint Louis University\'s Madrid campus for two years. In addition to my academic experience, I have several years of industry experience at leading companies in the biotechnology, accounting and ICT industries. Over the course of my career, I have taught undergraduate and graduate business courses in the United States, Spain, Ireland, Finland and Morocco.My research focuses on two broad areas: the global mobility of skilled professionals and the application of branding strategies to the promotion of locations and places. I have published articles on these topics in the Journal of Brand Management, the Journal of Global Mobility, Place Branding & Public Diplomacy, Career Development International and the Journal of Travel & Tourism Marketing.Specialties- Place and Destination Branding- Global Mobility of Talent- Tourism Marketing.
