About Jason Pope
As the President and Founder of Rain Collective, I lead an amazing initiative to unseat the cycle of exploitation in the Middle East and North Africa and replace it with a new order of equity and healing for survivors. With over 25 years of experience in the non-profit sector, I have developed and implemented a global strategy to build an anti-human trafficking project portfolio, working with partners in the region and beyond to address labor and sex trafficking of both women and children.In addition to leading Rain Collective, I serve as Acting Permanent Representative to the United Nations for the World Evangelical Alliance, where I engage in multilateral advocacy focused on human trafficking, victim identification systems, religious freedom, and peace and security. My work bridges grassroots survivor-centered practice with global policy reform, ensuring that international commitments translate into measurable change on the ground.I hold a PhD in International Family and Community Studies from Clemson University, focusing on the impact of trafficking on families and communities. I am also a skilled facilitator and grant manager who has coordinated with, identified, negotiated, and managed sub-contracts with other non-governmental organizations. My mission is to help define actions that will make a measurable difference in some of the most difficult places in the world.
