I began working for XTO Energy in the Barnett Shale play as a Lease Operator. In this position, I was responsible for the following activities on locations- Ensuring environmental and personnel safety at all times- New well kick offs- Overseeing contractors for all operations (Swabbing/Wireline/Flowback, etc.)- Maintaining equipment, signage, and DOT tasks (Internal/External corrosion programs)- Well optimization, and artificial lift (Both Plunger lift and Compressor lift rates/volumes)- Physical data collection of volumes (Gas/Liquids/Gas sampling/fluid sampling, etc.)- Assisting compression operations on a daily basis, and being in direct contact with them regularly.On July 1st, 2012, I was asked if I would like to get involved with the growing Marcellus Shale play, and accepted the role of Maintenance Operator. In this role, I was responsible for the following activities on locations- Learn to operate and maintain a 4 bay compressor station equipped with (4) CAT 3606 compressors, as well as field units in the region- Operate and maintain TEG de-hydration units and line heaters- Perform troubleshooting, PM\'s, data gathering, and general housekeeping on location- Oversee any outside contractors on maintenance operations (PRV/Valve/Pigging) as well as new construction.When I became well adapted to this role, I was asked if I would like to move on to Pipeline operations, and accepted the role of Pipeline Operator. In this role, I am currently responsible for the following activities on locations- Assist in the creation and optimization of an Internal/External Corrosion plan for pipelines in the region to comply with DOT/EPA regulations, as well as complying with state and local regulations- Fluid/Gas analysis, pigging operations, coupon data interpretation, ROW inspections, Leak surveys, slip/erosion containment and control/mitigation and handling the paperwork with said tasks- Lead the install/mod of existing pipeline,etc.
