Mechanical / Aeronautical Engineer in the oil and gas industry. Led crews as a field engineer for 6 years with Schlumberger in the Wyoming natural gas fields. Mentored numerous engineers and operators. Worked with high pressure, radiation sources, and high explosives daily. Schlumberger General Field Engineering project was developing a new wireline for deep well, high power logging and perforating applications. Evaluated competitors, worked with R&D to develop specifications and feasibility, and sent to manufacturing for field test prototypes. Managed well completions projects in a high-volume drilling campaign on Elk Hills, supervising pressure and acid pumping field operations, with each well completion costing up to $250k with multiple service providers. Engineered and executed on numerous well completions and capital workover projects for well remediation and production enhancement. Planned and executed a $1M coring project for South Mountain oilfield from cost estimate, planning, execution of the coring job. Managed the order and quality of special and routine core analysis. Petrophysically evaluated the core results for field waterflooding suitability. Project lead on a $250k core project for Kettleman North Dome to evaluate Kreyenhagen shale for unconventional resource development with special core analysis. Instructed advanced cased hole logging theory and applications for employees at CRC. Coached crews on service quality for stage-fracturing completions at SLB.
