Essential Duties and Responsibilities• Support the vehicle predevelopment and platforming activity as well assist in the investigation, development, and implementation of new technology for systems.• Create specifications and best practice documents for systems and provide oversight and guidance to product line teams on these items.• Assist in the advancement in support of providing a rider experience that is second to none.• Research and document requirement targets for new and current products as well as support alignment of system-level DFMEA and design guidelines for systems.• Deploys strong design skills into vehicle platforms defining key interfaces, trade-off analysis, benchmarking, and design integration.• Mentor and support the development of other engineers• Interact and direct resources across multiple engineering sites and work collaboratively with on/offshore resources to complete tasks in the most efficient means• Analyze benchmarks and field failures utilizing root cause analysis for continuous improvements.• Interfaces with other SMEs, industrial design, purchasing, designers, quality, manufacturing, technicians, and suppliers to complete assigned tasks.
