1. Senior Transportation Engineer

   I lead a team of six to eight Transporation Engineers delivering approximately 30 projects per Fiscal Year. These projects include Drainage Rehabilitation, Bridge Decks, Overlays, and other Transportation Facilities (i.e, State Roadside Rest Areas, Vista Points, and Caltrans Maintenance Stations). I engage in the training, onboarding, and the motivation of my staff members. I partner with a variety of internal and external stakeholders in the delivery of my project portfolio. Doing this requires effective motivational and coaching skills, project forecasting and scheduling, workload management, and ensuring that projects within scope, schedule, and cost. It remains just as important is to deliver quality projects ensured through the stakeholder review process.I possess MicroStation, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Cost Estimating, FileMaker Pro, and knowledge of the various databases used by Caltrans in the development of PS & E packages.
